The Gustavus women’s soccer team saw their record dip to 3-7 overall, 1-4 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on Saturday as St. Olaf handed the Gusties a 2-0 defeat in Northfield. St. Olaf improved to 4-6-1 overall and 2-3 in the MIAC with the victory.
The Oles attacked the Gustie defense early and often during the match unloading a barrage of shots on Gustavus keeper Tori Boughton. The first Ole goal came just nine minutes into the game as Katie Bierlein placed one of her seven shots past Boughton. The second goal came in the waning seconds of the first half with Bierlein finding Jenny Wetzig for the goal.

The Gusties step out of the MIAC Sunday when they host Luther. Their next MIAC tilt is Friday at Macalester.
