The Gustavus women’s hockey team has unveiled its schedule for the 2003-04 season. Highlights of the upcoming year include the season opener at home versus UW-River Falls, the MIAC opening series with defending conference champion St. Thomas, and a three-game east coast road swing over January term break.
Gustavus begins the season at home against UW-River Falls, a squad that reached the semi-finals of the NCAA Tournament last season, on November 7. The Gusties begin the conference season at St. Thomas on November 21 and host the Tommies on November 22. St. Thomas defeated Gustavus in the MIAC Championship game last season.
Coach Mike Carroll’s team will travel east to face Colby College, Bowdoin College, and William College during a January 31-February 3 trip. Bowdoin advanced to the semi-finals of last year’s NCAA Tournament.
Gustavus wraps up the regular season with a February 28 home game against St. Benedict. The Gusties have won at least 14 games each season since the inception of the program in 1997.
