Gustavus senior Kristi Schneider (Hastings, Minn.) competed in the pole vault on Friday, March 11 at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Bloomington, Illinois. Schneider placed eleventh overall clearing a height of 10′ 10″ at the national meet. The senior is the only student-athlete from Gustavus competing at the championships this weekend.
Schneider qualified for the championships by winning the pole vault event at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. The senior claimed the event title clearing a height of 11′ 6″, which set a new school indoor track and field record.
