Bittman Places Fifth in the Pentathlon at MIAC Championships

Gustavus junior Blythe Bittman tallied 2819 points to finish fifth in the women’s pentathlon at the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday. The rest of the championships meet will start on Friday, March 4 at 3:00pm.

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Blythe Bittman competed in her first pentathlon at the conference meet on Thursday. The junior compiled 2819 point to finish fifth out of 14 individuals. Bittman placed in the top five in two out of the five events. She recorded a fourth place finish in the shot put with a distance of 32′ 0.75″ and a fifth place finish in the long jump with a distance of 15′ 5″.

The rest of the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championship Meet will start on Friday, March 4 at 3:00pm and continue through Saturday, March 5.
