Gustavus men’s golf coach Scott Moe has been named head coach of the U.S. Junior National team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The team will play in the Toyota Junior World Cup this June 21-24 in Nagoya, Japan. Moe is the first Division III Coach to ever be selected to lead the U.S. Junior National team.

This will be the 14th time that the U.S. has participated in the Junior World Cup. The United States team won the 2004 World Cup, which was held in Shiga, Japan. Each year twelve countries put together a team of their four best junior (18 & under) players to compete in a setting that is the magnitude of the Ryder Cup and the Presidents Cup.

Moe, who was named the 2004 Division III National Coach of the Year, directed the Gusties to the 2004 Division III Championship. He has been the head coach of the Gustavus men’s golf team since 1996.
