BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Madi Kes (Jr., Jordan) and Josh Beiswanger (Sr., Mankato) were named MIAC Outdoor Field Athletes of the Week, the MIAC announced Tuesday afternoon.
Kes impressed at the Lee Krough Invitational over the weekend, winning the triple jump with a distance of 11.82 meters (38′ 9.5″). Her jump set a new meet record, a new school record, represents the best MIAC distance in the event this season, and currently ranks 16th in NCAA Division III this year.
Beiswanger placed second in the men’s hammer throw at Concordia-St. Paul’s Holst Invitational on 4/22 with a toss of 55.28 meters (181′ 4″). Beiswanger’s throw was the best D-III distance at the meet and is the second-best in the MIAC this season to his own 55.96-meter toss (183′ 7″) a week earlier. Beiswanger’s throw this week ranks 30th in NCAA Division III this season.
