Men’s Tennis Blanks Bethel, Advances to MIAC Playoff Championship

SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s tennis team blanked Bethel 5-0 Friday in a MIAC playoff semifinal match at the Brown Outdoor Courts. The Gusties, now 22-10 overall, advance to the MIAC playoff championship on Saturday where they will host the winner of Carleton vs. Macalester at 3:00 p.m..

Softball Comeback Effort Falls Short at Saint Ben’s

Trailing 6-0 and down to its final three outs, the Gustavus softball team rallied for five runs in the seventh inning Thursday at Saint Benedict, but couldn't plate the tying run in a 6-5 loss in the MIAC playoffs. The Gusties finish the season 15-22 overall after reaching the postseason for the first time since 2016. 

Women’s Tennis Shuts Out Bethel, Advances to MIAC Playoff Championship

The Gustavus women's tennis team blanked Bethel 5-0 Thursday in a MIAC playoff semifinal match at the Brown Outdoor Courts. The Gusties, now 19-6 overall, advance to the MIAC playoff championship on Saturday where they will host Carleton at 11:30 a.m. 

Gusties Compete in Day One of Maverick Open

MANKATO, Minn. - The Gustavus track and field teams had high marks on the first day of the Maverick open highlighted by a season high from Madi Kes in the triple jump (11.67m) who placed second in a DI field. Carson Roehl brought in a win for the Gusties in the 1500 (4:09.08m).

Baseball Breaks Home Run Record in Loss to Crown

The Gustavus baseball team hosted its final home game of the season and broke the program record for most home runs in a season. Gavin Baker's two run home run in the first inning was the 38th for the Gusties to set a new school best. The Gusties fell to non-conference opponent Crown 8-3 and move to 23-11 overall.

Baseball Splits With The Saints

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus baseball battled through 20 innings to split with St. Scholastica with a 7-1 win in seven innings and a 3-2 loss in 13. With the win and loss, the Gusties move to 23-10 overall and 10-6 in the MIAC.

Softball Clinches Playoff Spot with Sweep Over St. Scholastica

The Gustavus softball team clinched the No. 6 seed in the MIAC postseason tournament with a doubleheader sweep over St. Scholastica on Monday. The Gusties won game one 7-6 in dramatic fashion and then secured their first postseason bid since 2016 with a 9-4 game two victory.

Men’s Golf Earns At-Large Bid to NCAA Championships

The Gustavus men's golf team has been selected to the 2022 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships after receiving an at-large bid on Monday. The Gusties are one of nine Pool C berths in a field of 43 teams. 

Bergmeyer Named MIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Jack Bergmeyer (Jr., Lincoln, Neb.) helped the Gusties to their 33rd consecutive MIAC regular season championship with wins in both singles and doubles play against Hamline on April 30. Potockova Named MIAC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Simona Potockova (Sr., Nova’ Dubnica, Slovakia) won four matches against a pair of playoff teams over the weekend to lead the Gusties to the 30th MIAC regular season title in program history.
