BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Birgen Nelson (So., Edina) won a trio of events at the Carleton Relays on April 23, clocking in at 12.13 in the 100-meter dash, 25.19 in the 200-meter dash, and 14.12 in the 100-meter hurdles. Nelson’s time in the 100 hurdles is her second-fastest of the season and the sixth-fastest time in the country this year. She previously ran the event in 14.06 back in March. Her 100m time is good for 22nd in Division III this year, while her 200m time positions her in a tie for 47th in DIII. For her performance, Nelson has been named MIAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week.
