Gymnastics Falls to UW-Eau Claire

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus gymnastics team battled to a tough 181.650-180.275 loss to the Blugolds on Friday night at home. 

Dominant Second Half Lifts Men’s Basketball Over Concordia 74-51

MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Gustavus men's basketball team pulled away in the second half to claim a 74-51 conference victory against Concordia on Wednesday night. With the win, the Gusties improve to 12-7 overall and a 9-5 mark in the MIAC.

Women’s Basketball Pulls Away from Concordia in Fourth Quarter

Leading by just one point heading into the fourth quarter Wednesday night, the Gustavus women's basketball team outscored Concordia 20-7 in the final 10 minutes to secure a 65-51 victory. The Gusties improve to 16-4 overall and 14-3 in the MIAC.

Men’s Hockey Comes Up Short Against Saint Mary’s

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus men's hockey team hosted Saint Mary's on Tuesday night in a postponed non-conference game, and despite a momentum surge in the second and third periods the Gusties were defeated 4-1. With the loss, the team moves to 5-13-2 overall and remains 0-7-1 in the conference. 

Nelson Named MIAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

Birgen Nelson (So., Edina) clocked in at 8.60 to win the 60-meter hurdles at Minnesota State University-Mankato's Ted Nelson Classic last weekend. That time is the fastest in NCAA Division III this season and the 10th-fastest in D-III history. It is also a new program record and ties the all-time MIAC mark set by St. Thomas' Mallory Burnham in the finals of the 2014 NCAA Division III Championships.

Women’s Basketball Upends Conference Leading Auggies 67-50

Five different Gustavus women's basketball players reached double-figure scoring in a 67-50 win over conference-leading Augsburg on Monday night. The Gusties improve to 15-4 overall and 13-3 in the MIAC, while the Auggies drop to 15-5 overall and 15-2 in the league. 

Men’s Hoops Erases Early Deficit, Storms Back to Beat Augsburg 84-81

The Gustavus men’s basketball team claimed an 84-81 victory over conference-leading Augsburg in one of its top performances of the season. With the win, the Gusties improve to 11-7 overall and 8-5 in the MIAC.

Gustavus Men’s Basketball Coach Mark Hanson Announces Retirement

Mark Hanson ’83, the winningest coach in Gustavus Adolphus College men’s basketball history, announced Monday that he will retire as the head coach after the 2021-22 season.

Swimming Concludes MN Challenge; Diving Competes in Dodd Road Invite

The Gustavus swim team wrapped up at the University in Minnesota in the MN Challenge where they swam against a field of Division I competitors. The weekend was highlighted by Ellen Hofstede making D2 B-Cut in the 100 Free, touching the wall at 52.09. The Gusties hosted MIAC opponents for the Dodd Road Invitational as well on Saturday morning. Emily An won the 3m (11-Dives) for Gustavus with a score of 431.95.

Men’s Hockey Shut Out By No. 4 Augsburg

SAINT PETER, Minn. - After keeping Augsburg on edge to a one goal loss on Friday night, the Gustavus men's hockey was shut out by fourth ranked Augsburg 6-0. With the loss, the Gusties move to 5-12-2 overall and 0-7-1 in the MIAC.
