MANKATO, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams wrapped up the regular season of indoor meets Friday at the MSU-Mankato Mark Miller Invite.
Elizabeth Donnelly continued her impressive indoor season with a first place finish in the 800-meter, crossing the line in 2:11.97. Iliana Ramon finished the mile in 5:20.28 for fourth place. Mackinzee Miest took seventh in the 1000-meter in 3:14.66.
In the field, Annika Poe marked 13.69 meters in the shot put for fourth place. Madi Kes finished the triple jump in fifth place with a distance of 11.18 meters. Megan Geraets had a seventh place finish in the long jump, clearing 5.42 meters.
Blake Fuller highlighted the men’s results with a first place finish in the 600-meter, clocking in at 1:26.08. Noah Johnson took second in 1:27.28. Tyler Smith finished the 800-meter in 1:58.88 for fifth place. Tucker Wallin finished fifth in the 1000-meter at 2:36.93.
In the field, Andrew Bradley took fourth in the shot put with a mark of 14.43 meters and Josh Beiswanger finished eighth in the weight throw at 15.98 meters.
“The throwers were led by Annika Poe and Drew Bradley who had excellent finishes against very strong competition,” Throws Coach Tom Thorkelson said. “Poe’s mark keeps her at seventh on the national list.”
Gustavus next competes at the MIAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 25-26 in Northfield, Minn.
