BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Simona Potockova (Sr., Nova’ Dubnica, Slovakia) opened the MIAC schedule with wins at No. 1 singles and doubles against Saint Mary’s on Feb. 13. Potockova and doubles partner Yuki Oda won 8-2 in doubles and the senior followed with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) win at No. 1 singles to help the Gusties shut out the Cardinals, 9-0. For her performance, Potockova has been selected MIAC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week.
