Men’s Tennis Blanks Northwestern-St. Paul 9-0 Posted on April 15th, 2021 by

SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s tennis team shut out Northwestern-St. Paul 9-0 on Thursday at the Swanson Tennis Center. The non-conference victory moves the Gusties to 10-2 overall while the Eagles drop to 15-2.

It was fun to get out and compete this afternoon,” Head Coach Tommy Valentini said. “We played well in the doubles, getting a great start from Joe and Caleb at No. 1. Drew and Luke stepped their game up and executed very well in the second half of their match, and it was great to get the sweep from two seniors in Lawrence and Mouaad at No. 3.  In singles, the guys showed very good focus and executed their plans well. It was a strong team effort from everyone today.”
