SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s tennis team handed Hamline and Macalester shutout losses of 9-0 Saturday at the Brown Outdoor Courts. The pair of victories move the Gusties to 9-2 overall and 5-0 in the MIAC.
“It was fun to get back on our home courts for outdoor matches today,” Head Coach Tommy Valentini said. “The guys played some good doubles in both matches in terms of our tactics and our handling of the moment. In the singles, our depth provided a big lift in both matches; we had 12 different Gusties earn singles points today. It was also wonderful to welcome a few fans back to the facility. We’re grateful to our administrators, staff, and trainers for all they are doing to make it possible for us to compete and have a limited number of supporters on hand. We’re excited to build off of this weekend’s matches and to keep growing moving forward.”
