Four Gusties Earn USTFCCCA All-America Honors
The USTFCCCA announced its All-America awards for the 2020 indoor season on Tuesday and four Gustavus student-athletes received the honor - Steven Orzolek (So., Darwin), Taylor Rooney (Jr., Andover), Birgen Nelson (Fy., Edina), and Tierney Winter (Sr., Waterville).
Senior Spotlight: Kailey Maroney, Conrad Oddoye, Emily Carlson
The Gustavus athletics department will hear from spring sport senior student-athletes throughout the remainder of the semester, honoring those who are unable to participate in their final season of college athletics.
Freeman Named CoSIDA Academic All-District
The 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District Softball Teams were released Thursday and Gustavus senior Aly Freeman (Omaha, Neb.) was selected to the District 6 Team, which recognizes student-athletes from institutions in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

The 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District Baseball Teams were released Thursday and Gustavus senior second baseman Carter Clemensen (Cologne) was selected to the District 6 Team, which recognizes student-athletes from institutions in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Gustavus Summer Athletic Camps Cancelled
As the College’s leadership team considered requirements for social distancing and other Minnesota Department of Health recommendations and disease forecasts, it became clear that the College’s ability to host its usual high-quality, high-interaction summer camps and events in a safe manner would be greatly reduced.
