Gymnastics Heads to UW-La Crosse Friday

The Gustavus gymnastics team travels to UW-La Crosse Friday for the Gershon Invitational. The dual will start at 6:30 p.m. in the Mitchell Hall Gymnasium. Gustavus is off to a 2-1 start, most recently posting a season-high 180.650 in a loss Friday to Hamline. UW-La Crosse most recently posted a 188.375 in a quad meet at Ball State on Sunday.

Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Thursday announced its cross country academic awards and both the Gustavus men’s and women’s teams were recognized.

Women’s Basketball Comeback Falls Short Against Bennies

A 19 point deficit was too much to overcome as the Gustavus women's basketball team fell to Saint Ben's 64-53 Wednesday night. With the loss, the Gusties are now 14-4 overall and 10-3 in the MIAC while the Bennies improve to 9-9 overall and 5-8 in the league.

Men’s Hoop’s Sluggish Second Half Results in 68-59 Loss at Saint John’s

The Gustavus men’s basketball team went toe-to-toe with No. 2 Saint John’s in the first half Wednesday night, but the Johnnies pulled away in the second for a 68-59 victory. The Gusties drop to 8-11 overall and 8-6 in the MIAC, while the Johnnies claim their 18th consecutive win improve to 18-1 overall and 14-0 in the league.

No. 23 Women’s Basketball Looks for Series Sweep of Saint Benedict Wednesday

The No. 23 Gustavus women's basketball team will play host to Saint Benedict Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest. The Gusties enter the contest 14-3 overall and 10-2 in the MIAC, while the Bennies are 8-9 overall and 4-8 in the conference.

Bican, Steinberg Named MIAC Swim & Dive Athletes of the Week

Gustavus divers Logan Bican (Sr., Monticello) and Sophia Steinberg (Jr., Faribault) both broke school records Saturday at the Collegeville Dual. For their efforts, Bican and Steinberg were named MIAC Swim & Dive Athletes of the Week.

Taylor Rooney Named MIAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

For the second week in a row Taylor Rooney of Gustavus men's track and field was named MIAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week. Rooney tied his Division-III leading time of 8.03 in the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles at the St. Olaf Quad on Saturday. He then went on to win the finals with a time of 8.12 while also being a member of the 4x200 relay team that placed first with a time of 1:33.60.

Men’s Basketball Travels to Collegeville Wednesday to take on No. 2 Johnnies

The Gustavus men’s basketball team continues its road trip Wednesday as it takes on No. 2 Saint John’s. The Gusties enter the contest 8-10 overall and 8-5 in the MIAC, while the Johnnies are 17-1 overall and 13-0 in the league.

Corbett Named WIAC All-Around Gymnast of the Week for Second Straight Week

For the second straight week Annie Corbett (Fy., Brookfield, Wis.) of Gustavus Gymnastics has been named WIAC All-Around Gymnast of the Week. The award follows the teams season high score of 180.650 in a loss to Hamline Friday.

McCoy Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Athlete of the Week

Gustavus women's hockey goalie Katie McCoy (Fy., Grafton, Wis.) improved to 6-0-1 and recorded her third and fourth shutouts of the season last weekend, helping the Gusties sweep St. Thomas for the first time since 2012.
