Men’s Hockey Set For Final Regular Season Series Versus Bethel

The Gustavus men’s hockey team is set for a weekend series against Bethel with huge playoff implications on the line. Friday’s contest will begin at 7:05 in Saint Peter while Saturday’s game will be at 7 p.m. in Blaine. The Gusties enter 10-10-3 overall and 6-6-2 in the MIAC, while the Royals are 6-13-4 overall and 5-5-4 in the league. Gustavus currently sits fourth in the conference with 22 points, while Bethel is in fifth with 20. The playoff race is tight, as St. Thomas and the Gusties are tied for fourth, and are just two points apart from Bethel and St. Mary’s in fifth.

Women’s Basketball Falls in OT to Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus women's basketball team dropped an MIAC contest to Saint Mary's in overtime Wednesday night 75-66. With the loss the Gusties fall to 17-7 overall and 13-6 in the MIAC, while the Cardinals move to 5-19 overall and 5-14 in the conference.

Comeback Falls Short, Men’s Hoops Loses 71-63 to Saint Mary’s

A late comeback effort Wednesday night came up short for the Gustavus men’s basketball team as it lost 71-63 to Saint Mary’s. Gustavus now needs a win at Augsburg on Saturday paired with a St. Olaf loss against Macalester to land the No. 6 seed in the MIAC playoffs.

Women’s Basketball Heads to Saint Mary’s Wednesday

The Gustavus women's basketball team will travel to Saint Mary's on Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. contest. The Gusties enter the matchup 17-6 overall and 13-5 in the MIAC, while the Cardinals are 4-19 overall and 3-14 in the conference.

Olson’s Hat Trick, Stout Defense, Lifts Women’s Hockey to 3-0 Win

Emily Olson’s (Fy., Delano) hat trick backed by shut-down defense propelled No. 4 Gustavus women’s hockey to a 3-0 win over UW-Superior on Tuesday night. The Gusties improve to 18-3-2 overall with their fifth straight win, while the Yellowjackets drop to 15-7-1.

Annika Poe Named MIAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Annika Poe (Fy., Big Lake) helped Gustavus to a solid weekend at the Kelly Family Meet of the Hearts Saturday with a first place finish in the shot put. The first-year posted a career-best throw of 12.67m on both her first and last throws, winning the event by over one and a half meters.

Valentine Named MIAC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Ginger Valentine (Jr., Delano) led Gustavus to a spring season-opening shutout win over Saint Mary's on Sunday. Valentine won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 1 singles and teamed with Simona Potockova at No. 1 doubles to win that match 8-1. For her performance, Valentine has been named MIAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week. 

Women’s Hockey Travels to UW-Superior for Final Non-Conference Game

No. 4 Gustavus women’s hockey is set for its final non-conference game of the season Tuesday night at UW-Superior. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. The Gusties enter the contest 17-3-2 overall and 13-1-2 in the MIAC, while the Yellowjackets are 15-6-1 overall and 5-5-0 in the WIAC.

Gymnastics Posts Season-High 184.800

The Gustavus gymnastics team traveled to Lindenwood Sunday to compete in a quad meet and scored a season-high 184.800. The score is the sixth highest in Gustavus program history. Lindenwood won the meet with a 194.475.
