The Gustavus women’s tennis team faced a couple Division I teams over the weekend and lost both. The Gusties lost to Northern Iowa 7-0 on Saturday before dropping another 7-0 match to Drake on Sunday. The Gusties are now 1-2 early in the season.

No. 20 Gustavus men’s tennis battled No. 9 Washington University in St. Louis in the ITA Indoor consolation semifinals on Saturday night, but fell by a score of 6-3. The Gusties will now take on Kenyon in the seventh place match at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Swanson Tennis Center.

Augsburg overcame a 12-point deficit late to defeat the Gustavus women’s basketball team 77-74 Saturday. With the loss the Gusties finish the regular season 17-8 overall and 13-7 in the MIAC, while the Auggies finish 21-4 overall and 17-3 in the league.

Women’s Hockey Claims 16th MIAC Championship

For the 16th time in program history, the Gustavus women’s hockey team is the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion. The No. 4-ranked Gusties on Saturday afternoon treated the home crowd at Don Roberts Ice Rink to a 3-0 shutout victory over Bethel to finish the regular season 15-1-2 in the MIAC and 20-3-2 overall.
