BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Ginger Valentine (Jr., Delano) led Gustavus to a spring season-opening shutout win over Saint Mary’s on Sunday. Valentine won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 1 singles and teamed with Simona Potockova (So., Nova’ Dubnica, Slovakia) at No. 1 doubles to win that match 8-1. For her performance, Valentine has been named MIAC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week.
