FRIDAY RESULTS

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – After the first day of competition at the 2020 Point Invite, the Gustavus men’s swimming & diving team is in first place while the Gustie women are in second. The Gustie men have accumulated 555 points with host UW-Stevens Point close behind at 517 points, while Gustie women sit at 387 points, behind MSU-Mankato at 621.

The Gustavus men claimed three first-place finishers on Friday. The 200 free relay team won in 1:26.55. Callen Zemek (Fy., Victoria) won the 500 free in 4:49.44. And Nolan Larson (Jr., West Des Moines, Iowa) touched the wall first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:58.20.

Ellen Hofstede (Fy., Hopkins) highlighted the Gustie women with a victory in the 100 free, clocking in a time of 53.73. Alyssa Lokensgard (Sr., Saint Peter) was right behind Hofstede in second place with a time of 55.45.

The Point Invite continues Saturday with sessions at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
