Coming off a 2-0 week, the Gustavus volleyball team is looking to win its third straight contest Wednesday when they host No. 19 St. Thomas for a 7 p.m. match. The Gusties enter the contest 10-8 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC while the Tommies are 16-3 overall and 4-0 in conference.

Men’s Golf Finishes Second at MIAC Championships

Despite improving its final round score by 11 strokes, the No. 25-ranked Gustavus men’s golf team finished in second place at the MIAC Championships, played at Ridges at Sand Creek. Jacob Pedersen (So., Minnetonka) and Max Ullan (Jr., Blaine) earned All-Championship Team honors with second and fifth place finishes, respectively.

After one round of play at the MIAC Championships, the No. 25-ranked Gustavus men’s golf team leads the field with a score of 301. The Gusties lead by four strokes over Concordia, Saint John’s, and St. Thomas, who are all tied at 305.

Kate Holtan (Jr., Rochester) recorded 25 kills on Saturday, the most by a Gustavus volleyball player since 2003, as the Gusties took down Hamline 3-1. With the win the Gusties improve to 10-8 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC while the Pipers fall to 11-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
