Men’s Hoops Struggles in Second Half, Loses 96-73 to Buena Vista

The Gustavus men's basketball team opened its 2019-20 campaign against Buena Vista on Friday night with a 96-73 loss at Gus Young Court. 

Cross County Competes at SJU Fall Invite

The men's and women's cross country teams competed at the SJU Invite Friday afternoon and the men took first while the women took second.

Men’s Soccer Set to Host MIAC Championship in Mankato Saturday

The Gustavus men's soccer team will host St. Thomas at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato at 1 p.m. Saturday for the MIAC Championship match. Something has to give in Saturday's contest, as the Gusties (16-3) claim one of the top offenses in the country, while the Tommies (13-3-3) have one of the strongest defenses in the country. 

Men’s Hockey Set for Weekend Slate in Wisconsin

The Gustavus men's hockey team will hit the road this weekend as they head to Wisconsin for a pair of contests. The 2-0 Gusties will travel to No. 1 UW-Stevens Point Friday night for a 7 p.m. contest before they head to Menomonie, Wis. Saturday for a 7 p.m. game with UW-Stout.

Women’s Hockey Set for Home Opening Weekend

The Gustavus women’s hockey team welcomes Concordia-Wisconsin and No. 7 UW-Eau Claire to Don Roberts Ice Rink for its home opening weekend. The 1-0 Gusties face Concordia at 7 p.m. Saturday and then take on Eau Claire at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Football Travels to St. Thomas for Key MIAC Matchup

The Gustavus football team will travel to St. Thomas Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest as they look to extend their winning streak to five. Both team's enter the contest 6-2 overall while the Gusties are 4-2 in the MIAC and the Tommies are 5-1.

Richards, Dobson Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

 The 2019 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Google Cloud Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Teams are released and Gustavus senior Will Richards (Sr., Hudson, Wis.) and junior Trace Dobson (Jr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) were named to the 12-member District 6 Team, which features student-athletes from institutions in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The Google Cloud Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

2019-20 Men’s Basketball Season Preview

With excitement and optimism running high, the Gustavus men’s basketball team begins its 2019-20 campaign Friday night at home against Buena Vista. The Gusties, who were bounced in the first round of the MIAC playoffs last year, are looking to improve with a number of experienced returners and players with increased roles this season.

Men’s Soccer Advances to MIAC Championship as Cattelin and Schwartz Tally Hat Tricks

Raphael Cattelin’s (Fy., Edina) and Cole Schwartz (So., Jakarta, Indonesia) proved why they're the top two point scorers in the conference as the pair posted hat tricks in the men's soccer team's 6-2 win over Saint John's in the MIAC Semifinals. The double hat trick by Cattelin and Schwartz is the first recorded by the program since at least 1990

Men’s Soccer MIAC Semifinal Moved to Bethany Lutheran at 2:30 Today

Due to snow still being on the Gustie soccer field, the men's soccer match scheduled for 2 p.m. in Saint Peter today has been moved to Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato for a 2:30 p.m. start. The address for Bethany Lutheran is 700 Luther Drive, Mankato, Minn.
