Women’s Hockey Takes Down St. Kate’s 5-0

The No. 9-ranked Gustavus women's hockey team started its conference season with a decisive 5-0 win at St. Catherine on Friday night. With the win, the Gusties improve to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the MIAC with their third straight shutout.

Men’s Soccer Ready For NCAA Competition this Weekend

The Gustavus men’s soccer team is set to compete in the NCAA Championships Saturday as it takes on Colorado College in the first round, hosted by North Park University in Chicago, Ill. The Gusties and Tigers kick off at 3:30 p.m., which follows North Park and Pacific Lutheran at 1 p.m. The two winners face each other at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Cross Country Races in NCAA Regional Meet Saturday

The Gustavus men’s and women’s cross country teams are set for the NCAA Central Region Championships on Saturday at Wartburg College. The men’s race begins at 11 a.m. with the women to follow at noon.

Football Finishes Season with Senior Day Against St. Olaf Saturday

The Gustavus football team will wrap up its season Saturday as they host St. Olaf for a 1 p.m. contest. The Gusties enter the contest 6-3 overall and 4-3 in the MIAC while the Oles are 5-4 overall and 3-4 in the conference.

Women’s Hockey Opens MIAC Play this Weekend Against St. Kate’s

The Gustavus women’s hockey team enters its conference season tonight with the start of a home-home series against St. Catherine. Tonight’s game in Saint Paul starts and 7 p.m. and tomorrow’s game at Don Roberts Ice Rink begins at 2 p.m.

Men’s Hockey Set for Home Opening Weekend

The Gustavus men's hockey team is set to play their first home contests of the season this weekend as they host UW-Eau Claire on Friday and UW-River Falls Saturday with both contests beginning at 7:05 p.m. The Gusties enter the weekend 3-1-0, while the Blugolds and Falcons are 2-0-1 and 3-1-0, respectively. 

Brice Panning Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

The 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Teams were released Thursday morning and Gustavus senior receiver Brice Panning (Hamburg) was selected to the District 6 Team, which recognizes student-athletes from institutions in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Holtan Named AVCA All-Central Region

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its Division III Regional Awards on Thursday and Kate Holtan (Jr., Rochester) was named to the All-Central Region Team for the third consecutive season. Of the 14-member team, Holtan leads the group making her third appearance.

Becker Earns Fourth Women’s Soccer All-MIAC Honor

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released its women’s soccer postseason awards Wednesday and Gustavus keeper Ashley Becker (Sr., Farmington) has been selected as an All-Conference member.

Four Gusties Named Men’s Soccer All-MIAC

Four Gustavus men's soccer players were named MIAC All-Conference and another was named honorable mention Tuesday morning. Raphael Cattelin (Fy., Edina, Minn.), Matt Gibbons (Jr., Minneapolis), Wesley Sanders (Fy., Urbandale, Iowa), and Cole Schwartz (So., Jakarta, Indonesia) represent Gustavus on the All-MIAC team.
