BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Raphael Cattelin’s (Fy., Edina) netted a pair of game-winning goals last week including a MIAC title decider with 1:45 remaining in the team’s 2-1 win over Macalester Saturday to gain himself MIAC Player of the Week honors. Cattelin started his week off on a solid note, assisting the team’s first goal against Hamline Tuesday, before scoring a goal to put the Gusties up 3-1 that would eventually be the game-winner as Hamline would score late to bring the final to 3-2. On Saturday, the first-year really made his mark, knocking in a header early in the second half to put Gustavus up 1-0 on Macalester. The Scots would even things up 10 minutes later and it looked as though a tie was on the horizon, but with just under two minutes remaining Cattelin was able to control a cross and knock it past the Macalester goal keeper for the 2-1 win.
