Coming off a 2-0 week, the Gustavus volleyball team is looking to win its third straight contest Wednesday when they host No. 19 St. Thomas for a 7 p.m. match. The Gusties enter the contest 10-8 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC while the Tommies are 16-3 overall and 4-0 in conference.

The Gustavus men’s soccer team traveled to Storm Lake, Iowa Monday night and took down Buena Vista 3-0. With the win the Gusties move to 8-2 overall while the Beavers drop to 1-8-3.

Men’s Golf Finishes Second at MIAC Championships

Despite improving its final round score by 11 strokes, the No. 25-ranked Gustavus men’s golf team finished in second place at the MIAC Championships, played at Ridges at Sand Creek. Jacob Pedersen (So., Minnetonka) and Max Ullan (Jr., Blaine) earned All-Championship Team honors with second and fifth place finishes, respectively.

After one round of play at the MIAC Championships, the No. 25-ranked Gustavus men’s golf team leads the field with a score of 301. The Gusties lead by four strokes over Concordia, Saint John’s, and St. Thomas, who are all tied at 305.

The Gustavus women’s soccer team traveled to Northfield Sunday afternoon to take on St. Olaf and fell 2-1. With the loss the Gusties fall to 2-8 overall and 1-4 in the MIAC while the Oles are 7-3-1 overall and 4-1 in the conference.

Holtan Leads Volleyball to Win Over Hamline

Kate Holtan (Jr., Rochester) recorded 25 kills on Saturday, the most by a Gustavus volleyball player since 2003, as the Gusties took down Hamline 3-1. With the win the Gusties improve to 10-8 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC while the Pipers fall to 11-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

Soccer Games Postponed to Sunday and Wednesday

Due to excessive rain, Saturday’s Gustavus men’s and women’s soccer doubleheader against St. Olaf at Gustavus is postponed. The women will play at noon Sunday at St. Olaf while the men host the Oles at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
