SAINT PETER, Minn. – The 2019 ITA Women’s Midwest Regional Championships started Friday at Gustavus Adolphus College and a number of Gusties advanced in both singles and doubles play.
Top-seeded and defending regional singles champion Ginger Valentine advanced to the third round along with teammates Megan Karrow, Emily Norman, and Anna Stutz.
In doubles action, Stutz and Sydney Douglas advanced to the third round. The duo of Valentine and Simona Potockova also won their match.
The regional championships continue at 9 a.m. Saturday.
