BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Gustavus women’s golfer Erin Ericson (So., Onalaska, Wis.) captured her first career medalist honor, carding a three-over-par 75-72-147 to win Division III Classic in a field of 90 golfers over the weekend. For her performance, Ericson was awarded the MIAC Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Ericson is the first Gustie to win a tournament since Morgan Bleyhl and McKenzie Swenson shared medalist honors at the 2017 Georgianni Blugold Invite. Ericson’s 147 is also tied for the second-lowest 36-hole total in program history, one stroke behind Kelli Groff’s record of 146, set in 2005.
