SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s soccer team will put its 2-0 record on the line this weekend when they host Crown on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The Storm enter the contest 0-2.

The Series: Saturday’s matchup will be the third matchup between the two teams with the Gusties winning the first two contests. The two teams last met on Oct. 23, 2012 with the Gusties taking a 9-2 victory.

Scouting the Gusties: Gustavus most recently defeated Martin Luther College 9-0 on Thursday. Through two contests this season Cole Schwartz (So., Jakarta, Indonesia)  leads the team with five goals and an assist for 11 points total. Raphael Cattelin (Fy., Edina, Minn.) and Matt Gibbons (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn.) are shortly behind him with seven points apiece, each scoring two goals and three assists. Wesley Sanders (Fy., Urbandale, Iowa) has been stout in net this season allowing no goals in his two starts and making six saves.

Scouting the Storm: Crown most recently dropped a 3-0 contest to Augsburg on Tuesday to fall to 0-2 on the year. Through two contests the Storm are being outscored 6-0 and outshot 77-1. Foster Browning has played all 180 minutes in net and has made 25 saves while allowing six goals.
