Due to recent snowfall, the Gustavus softball doubleheader scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Macalester has been moved to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. The games will still be played on the Macalester softball field, which has lights.

Weekend Baseball Doubleheaders Postponed, Cancelled

Due to the recent snowfall, the Gustavus baseball team will not be competing this weekend. Saturday’s home doubleheader against St. Thomas is postponed and will be played on the earliest available date, while Sunday’s doubleheader at UM-Morris has been cancelled.

Men’s Golf Postpones Bobby Krig Invite

Due to recent snowfall, the Gustavus men’s golf team has postponed the Bobby Krig Invitational, which was scheduled for Sunday and Monday at the Le Sueur Country Club. The Bobby Krig Invite will be rescheduled for a later date this season.

Sonnek, Malo Named March Student-Athletes of the Month

Men’s swimmer Tanner Sonnek (Sr., North Mankato, Minn.) and all-around gymnast Amanda Malo (Sr., Greenwood, Minn.) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College March Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.

Men’s Golf Finishes Tied for 12th at Camp Lejune

The Gustavus men’s golf team competed in Camp Lejune, N.C. this past weekend and took home a 12th place finish. The Gusties carded a 311 on the Gold Course the final day to bring their three day total to 909 (+48).

Five Gusties Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Wednesday announced the members of the 2019 NFF Hampshire Honor Society. Gustie seniors earning a place on this year’s team include Jamison Beulke (Montgomery, Minn.), Michael Hensch (North Branch, Minn.), Sean Kelly (Shorewood, Minn.), Jack Sorenson (West St. Paul, Minn.), and Tanner Sparrow (Edina, Minn.).

Softball Falls to Carleton Twice Tuesday

The Gustavus softball team hosted Carleton for a pair of contests on Tuesday and dropped both by scores of 10-2 and 5-0. With the results the Gusties move to 12-14 on the season and 3-9 in the MIAC.

Baseball Wins Extra Inning Shutout in Game One, Drops Game Two at Saint John’s

The Gustavus baseball team split its fifth consecutive doubleheader Tuesday, beating Saint John’s 2-0 in game one followed by a 4-2 loss in the second game. The Gusties are now 12-8 overall and 3-3 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus vs. Carleton softball doubleheader originally scheduled for Thursday has been pushed forward to Tuesday with game one starting at 3:30 p.m. The games were moved due to the potential blizzard in the forecast for later in the week.
