SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s track & field team hosted the Drake Alternative on Friday for its only home meet of the season. Three Gusties captured first-place finishes – Karley DeKnikker (So., Lake Preston, S.D.) in the 400-meter hurdles, Kourtney Kulseth (So., New Richland, Minn.) in the 3000-meter steeplechase, and Bailey Van Den Heuvel (Sr., Mondovi, Wis.) in the hammer throw.

The 4×800 relay team of Sara Moen (So., Blaine, Minn.), Tierney Winter (Jr., Waterville, Minn.), Haley Anderson (Jr., Eden Prairie, Minn.), and Abigail Schnabel (Sr., Hamburg, Minn.) competed at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa and took sixth place with a time of 9:29.51.

Teams competing at the Drake Alternative included Gustavus, Bethany Lutheran, Bethel, Carleton, Concordia-St. Paul, Crown, Martin Luther, Minnesota State-Mankato, Saint Benedict, St. Olaf, St. Thomas, and UW-River Falls.
