SAINT PETER, Minn. – After nearly two weeks since competing and over a month since its last MIAC match, the No. 16 Gustavus men’s tennis team Friday shut out Macalester 9-0 at the Brown Outdoor Tennis Complex, marking the first outdoor match at home this season. The Gusties are now 15-7 overall and 7-0 in the MIAC.

“It was great to get out and compete today,” Head Coach Tommy Valentini said. “The guys were solid in the doubles. We got a great start from O’Neil and Sanga at three. Once we had the lead and some momentum we did well to stay present and focused at all spots in the singles. It was a great team effort. We made good progress overall today, and we look forward to embracing another exciting challenge tomorrow.”
