Gymnastics Hosts Hamline Friday Night

The Gustavus gymnastics team last Friday night hosted its home opener and scored a season-high 184.775 in a WIAC dual loss to UW-Stout. The 184.775 score is the sixth-highest team total in program history.

The Gusties scored 46.850 on floor, 46.700 on vault, 45.700 on bars, and 45.525 on beam.

Samantha Ardy (Sr., Thousand Oaks, Calif.) won the bars with a 9.5 and took third in the all-around at 37.075. She also took third on the vault with a 9.450.

Amanda Malo (Sr., Greenwood, Minn.) won the all-around with a 37.575. Her best performance was on the floor as she took second with a 9.550. Katy Trunk (Sr., North Branch Minn.) posted a career-high on the beam, taking second place with a 9.450. Trunk also took fourth on the floor with another career-high of 9.475.
