Lininger Johnson, McGee to Enter NCGA Hall of Fame

The National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) announced its 2019 Hall of Fame Class, which includes former Gustavus gymnasts Shasta Lininger Johnson ’95 and Shannon McGee ’96.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) announced its 2019 Hall of Fame Class, which includes former Gustavus gymnasts Shasta Lininger Johnson ’95 and Shannon McGee ’96. This year’s Hall of Fame Class will be inducted at the 2019 NCGA National Championships, hosted at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on March 23.

The six individuals who have been chosen to the be inducted into the NCGA Hall of Fame include:

Kristie Kinzie Masso – Hamline
Shannon McGee – Gustavus Adolphus
Shasta Lininger Johnson – Gustavus Adolphus
Stacy Green – UW-La Crosse
Tricia Adkins – UW-La Crosse
Tiffany Barden Losinski – UW-Oshkosh

The NCGA Hall of Fame was established in 2011 to pay tribute and give deserved recognition and honor to outstanding former athletes and/or coaches and administrators who have shown distinctive, and or exceptional ability while participating within or supporting Division III gymnastics. Since its inception, the NCGA has provided opportunities for over 2700 gymnasts from the United States and internationally.

Both Lininger Johnson and McGee are members of the Gustavus Athletics Hall of Fame and were inducted in 2013. Below are their induction videos.
