Andrew Stumbo Headed to NCAA Cross Country Championships

Men’s Cross Country athlete Andrew Stumbo is headed to the NCAA Championships due to his performance in the NCAA Central Regional. 

SAINT PETER, Minn. – Men’s Cross Country athlete Andrew Stumbo is headed to the NCAA Championships due to his performance in the NCAA Central Regional.

Stumbo finished eighth place overall, the highest placing for a Gustavus athlete in over ten years. Stumbo saved his best performance of the year for last as his 25:11.1 was  29 seconds faster than his previous best for the season which was at the Wartburg Invitational where he finished fourth. His 25:11.1 time was also the fastest time for a Gustie runner since 1999 and will put his race into sixth place in school history for fastest 8K race times.
