NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s hockey team suffered a 2-1 loss at St. Olaf on Saturday night. The loss drops the Gusties to 1-2-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the MIAC.

After a scoreless first period and time winding down in the second, the Gusties took a 1-0 lead with just three seconds left on the clock as Tyler Rock (So., Savage, Minn.) scored his first goal of the season with the help of Jared Bromberg (Jr., Rochester, Minn.) and Reid Brown (Jr., Superior, Colo.). The Oles answered three minutes into the third period and then scored the game winner three minutes later.

For the second night in a row, the Gusties outshot the Oles (43-21) but did not get the result. Chris Amsden (Sr., Saint Peter, Minn.) made 19 saves in goal. Both teams went 0-3 on the power play.

Gustavus travels to Wisconsin next weekend, playing at UW-Superior on Friday and at UW-Stout on Saturday.
