Women’s Soccer Heads to St. Catherine For MIAC Bout Posted on October 19th, 2018 by

SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s soccer team heads to St. Catherine on Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest. The Gusties enter the match with an overall record of 5-9-1 with a 2-5-1 mark in the MIAC while the Wildcats hold a 7-3-2 overall record and a 4-2-2 record in conference.

Scouting the Gusties: The Gusties are most recently coming off a 3-1 loss to UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday. They’re led offensively by Abby Mullenbach (Jr., Lakeville, Minn.) who has 13 points on the season. Chase Miller (Sr., Brooklyn Park, Minn.) and Emily Skogseth (Sr., Burnsville, Minn.) have also been big contributors as they have both tallied 12 points. Abby Goodno (Fy., Little Canada, Minn.) has started 11 games in net for the Gusties, tallying 76 saves while allowing 18 goals.

Scouting the Wildcats: The Wildcats are coming off a 5-1 victory over Viterbo on Tuesday. Lauren Witte is their offensive leader as she has posted nine goals on the season for a total of 18 points. The duo of Allie Bird and Sofia Campbell has supplemented the attack with 13 and 11 points respectively. Tayler Koop has started all 12 games in net posting 45 saves while giving up 14 goals.
