SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s golf team will be participating in the MIAC Championships this weekend in Jordan, Minn. In their four meets during the fall season, the Gusties have placed second twice and look to break through for their first victory this weekend.
On the season, Ben Hauge (Jr., Ramsey, Minn.) and Jacob Pederson (Fy., Minnetonka, Minn.) have been leading the charge for the Gusties, shooting averages of 73.2 and 73.5 respectively. Those two scoring averages are the top two average round scores in the MIAC this season as well. Max Ullan (So., Blaine, Minn.) is next in average score for the Gusties with an average of 76.1, and he just played his best golf of the season this past weekend, winning medalist honors at the Saint John’s Invite as well as garnering a MIAC Player of the Week award. Max Savini (Sr., Ramsey, Minn.) and Carter Czichotzki (So., Moorhead, Minn.) round out the Gustie top five, both averaging 77.7 strokes per round.
Play will begin this Saturday with the first tee time being at 11 a.m.
