The Gustavus men's soccer team defeated the Cardinals of Saint Mary's by a score of 4-1 on Monday afternoon.

Panning Named MIAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week

Brice Panning (Jr., Hamburg, Minn.) fielded a punt at the Gustie 42-yard line and returned it 58 yards for a score in the second quarter of Gustavus's 42-14 win at Hamline. The punt return touchdown is the first by Gustavus since Ethan Armstrong did so in 2006 against Macalester. For his performance, Panning received MIAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week honors.

The Gustavus men’s soccer match vs. Saint Mary's at 4 p.m. today has changed locations due to unplayable field conditions at the Gustie Soccer Field.

Men’s Soccer Outlasts Saint John’s 2-1 in Double Overtime

The Gustavus men’s soccer team erased a 1-0 deficit Saturday and outlasted Saint John’s in double overtime, winning 2-1. The Gusties extend their unbeaten streak to nine, paired with a five-match winning streak, improving to 10-1-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the MIAC, which keeps them on top of the league standings with 19 points.

Saint Benedict Uses Strong Second Half to Defeat Women’s Soccer

The Gustavus women's soccer team dropped a tough contest to the College of Saint Benedict on Saturday afternoon by a score of 3-2.

Volleyball Wins Pair of 3-0 Matches at St. Kate’s Tourney

The No. 11 Gustavus volleyball team looked every part of its national ranking Saturday, claiming two convincing straight-set victories at the St. Kate’s tournament. The Gusties defeated UC-Santa Cruz 25-9, 25-13, 25-16 and followed by beating Luther 25-17, 25-19, 25-18 to extend their winning streak to 13 matches. The Gusties are now 21-2 overall.

Cross Country Competes at UW-La Crosse, Men Finish Ninth While Women Take 11th

The Gustavus men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Drews/Neubauer Invitational hosted by UW-La Crosse.

Special Teams Shine, Football Beats Hamline 42-14

Two blocked punts, one recovered for a touchdown, and a punt return touchdown highlighted the Gustavus football team’s 42-14 win at Hamline on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties also had three rushing touchdowns and surpassed 400 yards of total offense for the first time this season to move to .500 at 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the MIAC.

Johnson and Whaling Take Third at ITA Cup

The Gustavus men’s tennis doubles team of Chase Johnson (Sr., Golden Valley, Minn.) and Patrick Whaling (Sr., Manikin Sabot, Va.) claimed third place Saturday at the ITA Cup, defeating James Wei and Varun Shanker of Caltech 7-5, 6-3 at Berry College. Johnson and Whaling finish the fall season 11-1 overall and as All-Americans. 

Valentine Takes Eighth at ITA Cup

Gustavus women’s tennis player Ginger Valentine (So., Delano, Minn.) wrapped up the fall season Saturday by taking eighth place at the ITA Cup at Berry College. Valentine lost 6-1, 6-1 to Michelle Uyeda of Linfield College and finishes the fall season 9-3 overall.
