Swenson Named MIAC Women’s Golf All-Conference

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its women’s golf postseason awards Wednesday and Gustavus senior McKenzie Swenson (Buffalo, Minn.) was named to the All-Conference Team. 

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its women’s golf postseason awards Wednesday and Gustavus senior McKenzie Swenson (Buffalo, Minn.) was named to the All-Conference Team.

Swenson earns her third All-MIAC honor after receiving the award her first and second seasons at Gustavus. Swenson this season played in 17 rounds with a team-leading 79.4-stroke average, which ranks eighth in the league. The Buffalo native placed in the top-10 five times, including four top-five performances, and one medalist honor at the Georgianni Blugold Invite on Sept. 10. At the MIAC Championships in October, Swenson’s second round 73 was a career-best and tied for the seventh lowest round in program history.
