Tudor Flintham Named Head Men’s Soccer Coach At Gustavus Adolphus College Posted on April 16th, 2018 by CJ Siewert

ST. PETER, Minn. – Tudor Flintham has been named the head men’s soccer coach at Gustavus Adolphus College, which was announced Monday by Athletics Director Tom Brown. Flintham most recently completed his third season as the head men’s and women’s soccer coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University.

“Tudor is a detail-oriented person and has his priorities set on the well-being of the student-athletes,” Brown said. “He wants to create the best experience for his student-athletes. With a strong background in the MIAC and Minnesota ties, I’m excited for what he can bring to the Gustavus community.”

At Nebraska Wesleyan, Flintham guided the men’s and women’s programs to a combined 49 wins in his three seasons, including 33 shutouts. Last season the men went 11-7-1 overall and won their first playoff game in 20 years. In the past three years, Flintham has developed one professional player, two CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 18 All-IIAC, and six All-GPAC players.

Prior to his time at Nebraska Wesleyan, Flintham was the associate head soccer coach at Saint John’s University from 2010-14. He also served as an assistant at the College of Saint Benedict from 2012-14. From 2008-10, Flintham was head coach at both Valley Catholic High School in Beaverton, Ore. and the F.C. Portland Soccer Academy in Hillsboro, Ore.

Flintham earned his bachelor’s degree from Saint John’s in 2006. He was a three-year starting forward for the Johnnies, playing in 65 games from 2002-05 with 21 goals and 19 assists for 61 points. Flintham was an All-Region selection while earning MIAC All-Conference and Academic All-Conference in 2005. His senior year, Flintham captained the team to the conference playoff championship.

In 2013, Flintham received a master’s degree in sports management from St. Cloud State University. He holds a F.A. Level One Coaching License, National Exercise Trainers Association Certification, and a USSF National C Coaching License.

I cannot wait to get to work on continuing to build on this unrivaled tradition. I am absolutely thrilled to represent this great college and historic soccer program as head coach.”

Flintham becomes the ninth head coach in the history of Gustavus men’s soccer. Since the program began in 1967, the Gusties have amassed an all-time record of 517-220-104 and have gone 312-122-74 in the MIAC. Gustavus leads the MIAC with 14 conference championships and six playoff titles.
