ST. PETER, Minn. – Sam Ardy (Jr., Thousand Oaks, Calif.) and Amanda Malo (Jr., Greenwood, Minn.) are set to represent Gustavus gymnasts this weekend at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship, hosted by Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.
Ardy, who is making her second appearance at the NCGAs, will compete on the uneven bars. Ardy tied a career-high with a score of 9.675 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference/NCGA West Regional, earning All-Conference laurels while leading the Gusties to a fifth place team finish. Last season, Ardy took fifth on bars at the NCGAs, earning First Team All-American honors.
Malo is making her first appearance at the national meet and will compete in the all-around. Malo placed fifth in the all-around at the conference championship, totaling 37.325, led by her season-high floor score of 9.575, earning All-Conference honors.
