Trio Of Cross Country Student-Athletes Named USTFCCCA All-Academic

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2017 Cross Country All-Academic individuals Friday afternoon and Gustavus student-athletes Andrew Stumbo (Fy., Boone, Iowa), Sarah Anderson (So., Roseville, Minn.), and Abigail Schnabel (Jr., Hamburg, Minn.) were recognized with the honor.

Women’s Hockey Travels To Concordia For Away Series This Weekend

The No. 6-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team plays an away series this weekend at Concordia. Friday’s game at the Moorhead Youth Hockey Arena begins at 7 p.m. and Saturday’s game starts at 2 p.m. The Gusties enter the series 15-2-4 overall and 9-2-3 in the MIAC, while the Cobbers are 9-9-3 overall and 6-5-3 in the league.

The Gustavus gymnastics team is set to host a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual meet Saturday afternoon at Sponberg Gymnastics Studio. The meet between the Gusties and the Titans is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Men’s Tennis Drops Pair Of Matches To Wrap Up Florida Trip

The No. 16-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team wrapped up its season-opening trip to Florida on Thursday, dropping a pair of matches. The Gusties lost 9-0 to Florida Tech and then dropped a 7-2 decision to Division II No. 7 Saint Leo, moving their overall record to 1-3.

Men’s Hockey Set To Host Series Versus Cobbers

The Gustavus men’s hockey team returns to action this weekend, hosting a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series against Concordia College. The Gusties (8-10-3, 7-5 MIAC) drop the puck against the Cobbers (8-10-3, 5-6-1 MIAC) at 7:05 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday at Don Roberts Ice Rink.
