Women’s Track & Field Takes Ninth At Ted Nelson Classic

The Gustavus women’s track & field team took ninth of 14 teams Saturday at the Ted Nelson Classic on the campus of Minnesota State Mankato, scoring 14.5 points. Minnesota State and Augustana University tied for first place with 122 points each.

The Gustavus men's track & field team took ninth of 15 teams Saturday at the Ted Nelson Classic on the campus of Minnesota State Mankato, scoring 15 points. Minnesota State took first place with 152 points. 

Men’s Swim & Dive Finishes Regular Season Strong At Gustie Invite

The Gustavus men’s swim & dive team had a great showing on day two of the Gustavus Invitational on Saturday. In the final tune-up before the MIAC Championships in two weeks, the Gusties claimed 11 more first place finishes after winning four in session one Friday. Other teams that competed were Carleton, Saint Mary's, and St. Olaf.

Women’s Basketball Clinches MIAC Playoff Berth, Wins Big 89-47 At Hamline

The Gustavus women’s basketball team continued its offensive prowess Saturday at Hamline, winning in convincing fashion 89-47 to clinch a spot in the MIAC playoffs. The Gusties shot 55 percent from beyond the three-point line and controlled the glass, out-rebounding the Pipers 44-20 to improve to 17-4 overall and 11-3 in the MIAC.

Déjà Vu, Women’s Hockey Blanks St. Kate’s 3-0, Clinches Playoff Berth

New day, same story. For the second straight game the Gustavus women’s hockey team Saturday shut out St. Catherine 3-0 to complete the series sweep and clinch a spot in the MIAC playoffs. With their third consecutive shutout, the Gusties improve to 15-2-4 overall and 9-2-3 in the MIAC, while the Wildcats drop to 6-14-1 overall and 5-8-1 in the league.

Men’s Hoops Drops Fourth-Straight, Falling 85-74 At Hamline

The Gustavus men's basketball team dropped its fourth consecutive Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference road game Saturday afternoon, falling by a score of 85-74 at Hamline University.

Women’s Hockey Shuts Out St. Kate’s 3-0

For the sixth time this season the Gustavus women’s hockey team shut out its opponent, this time skating to a 3-0 win at St. Catherine on Friday night. All three goals were of a different variety as the No. 6-ranked Gusties scored on a power play, short-handed, and on an empty net to improve to 14-2-4 overall and 7-2-3 in the MIAC.

Gymnastics Takes Third At UW-La Crosse Triangular, Scoring Season-High 179.875

The Gustavus gymnastics team took third of three at the Gershon/McLellan Invitational at the University of Wisconsin La-Crosse Friday evening, recording a season-high score of 179.875. UW-La Crosse swept each event to win the triad with a score of 189.600, while UW-Eau Claire took second at 185.750.

Swim & Dive Wins Nine Of 10 Events In Session One Of Gustie Invite

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swim & dive teams finished session one of the Gustavus Invitational in great shape Friday evening with multiple top times. The Gustie women won all five events, while the men won four of five events in the opening session.
