The Gustavus women’s track & field team took ninth of 14 teams Saturday at the Ted Nelson Classic on the campus of Minnesota State Mankato, scoring 14.5 points. Minnesota State and Augustana University tied for first place with 122 points each.

The Gustavus women’s basketball team continued its offensive prowess Saturday at Hamline, winning in convincing fashion 89-47 to clinch a spot in the MIAC playoffs. The Gusties shot 55 percent from beyond the three-point line and controlled the glass, out-rebounding the Pipers 44-20 to improve to 17-4 overall and 11-3 in the MIAC.
