ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s swimming and diving team Saturday defeated Saint John’s 205.5-102.5 in a MIAC dual meet at Vic Gustafson Pool. The Gusties won 10 of 16 events in a convincing victory.

“I couldn’t be prouder of how the team swam,” Head Coach Jon Carlson said. “We’ve been training very hard and getting ready to taper, so for them to perform at such a high level gets me excited as we prepare for conference.”

Gustavus also celebrated Senior Day on Saturday, honoring Anders Wallock (Wheaton, Minn.) and Will Bragg (Eagan, Minn.).

“It was also a great day to honor the seniors,” Carlson said. “They’ve been such great leaders all season and it’s nice that the team could perform at such a high level being as tired as they are. I’m happy that I have a few more weeks with all the seniors and looking forward to the MIAC Championships.”
