NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s track & field team took third out of four teams at the St. Olaf College Quadrangular Friday, scoring 127 points.
The University of St. Thomas finished first with 156 points, followed by 151 from St. Olaf, 127 from Gustavus, and 120 from Bethel University.
Gustavus claimed three top finishes along with several runner-up times.
“We definitely had some good performances,” Head Coach Dale Bahr said. “Even though we weren’t taking first and seconds throughout, we are showing improvement week to week and that is kind of what we’re looking at right now. We’re still a pretty young team and are shifting some people around.”

Klug won the 3,000-meter run, finishing seven seconds ahead of the runner-up with a time of 10:38.36. Keelin won the weight throw for a second-straight week with a toss of 43-7, while Anderson’s 5-2.25 high jump was good for first place.
Adonya Gray (So., Burnsville, Minn.), DeAnna Giles (Fy,. Plymouth, Minn.), and Bella Klabough (Fy., Elysian, Minn.) each posted runner-up times. Gray’s time of 8.31 was good for second place in the 60-meter dash. Giles had a leap of 33-5.25 in the triple jump for second place, while Klabough’s throw of 35-4 was second best in the shot put.
