Men’s Hockey Hosts UW-Superior and UW-Stout During Parents Weekend

The Gustavus men’s hockey team is set for two non-conference games this weekend, hosting Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents Wisconsin and Wisconsin-Stout during parents weekend. The Gusties (1-2-1, 1-1 MIAC) host the Yellowjackets (0-3, 0-0 WIAC) on Friday and the Blue Devils (1-2-1, 0-2 WIAC) on Saturday. 

Football Hosts Carleton During Season Finale, Senior Day

The Gustavus football team is set to host the season finale Saturday afternoon versus Carleton College. The Gusties (4-5, 3-4 MIAC) will face the Knights (0-9, 0-7 MIAC) during senior day at Hollingsworth Field. 

Volleyball Opens NCAA Tournament Against Aurora

For the eighth time in program history and the third consecutive year, the Gustavus volleyball team is making an appearance at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) tournament. The Gusties (23-6) received the No. 2 seed in the St. Paul, Minn. regional and are set to face No. 7 seeded Aurora University (26-7) at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Ericksen Center on the campus of the University of Northwestern-St. Paul.

Mikayla Miller Named D3hoops.com Preseason All-American

Gustavus women’s basketball senior guard Mikayla Miller (Goodhue, Minn.) has been named to the D3hoops.com 2017-18 Preseason All-America Team. Miller is one of five players on the Fourth Team, as the preseason All-Americans include first- through fourth teams, including honorable mention.

Phase One Of Gustie Baseball Field Renovation Complete

It may be more than two months until preseason practice begins and the first significant snowfall has yet to blanket the Gustavus campus, but those sentiments have done little to diminish the excitement for the upcoming Gustie baseball season as the program embarks on its first year playing on a completely renovated field.

Volleyball Receives NCAA Tournament At-Large Bid, Set To Face Aurora

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) on Monday morning announced the 64-team field for its Division III Volleyball Championship and Gustavus (23-6) is selected to face Aurora University (26-7) in the first round, hosted by the University of Northwestern-St. Paul. The regional quarterfinal match begins at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9. 

Special Teams Woes Downs Men’s Hockey In Home Opener

The Gustavus men's hockey team allowed four power play goals during the home opener Saturday evening at Don Roberts Ice Rink as St. Olaf College defeated the Gusties 6-2 to salvage a series split.

Women’s Swimming & Diving Splits Against Pointers, Mavericks In Home Opener

The Gustavus women’s swimming and diving team hosted the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Minnesota State University-Mankato on Saturday for its home opener, defeating the Pointers 206.5-92.5 and losing to the Mavericks 214-85.

The Gustavus men’s swimming and diving team hosted the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday for its home opener and lost the dual meet 179-121.

Women’s Soccer Drops Double Overtime Heartbreaker In MIAC Championship Match

Despite a spectacular goalkeeping performance by Ashley Becker (Jr., Farmington, Minn.), the Gustavus women’s soccer team could not complete one final upset in its quest for the MIAC playoff championship as St. Catherine outlasted the Gusties 1-0 in double overtime. In an improbable conference title matchup between the No. 6 seed Gusties and No. 5 seed Wildcats, it was the home team that secured an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships, as the Gusties finished their season 10-6-4 overall.
