Gustavus women’s basketball senior guard Mikayla Miller (Goodhue, Minn.) has been named to the D3hoops.com 2017-18 Preseason All-America Team. Miller is one of five players on the Fourth Team, as the preseason All-Americans include first- through fourth teams, including honorable mention.
Last season Miller received 2017 WBCA NCAA Division III Coaches’ All-America honorable mention honors after leading the Gusties all season with a MIAC second-best scoring average of 16.6 points, while earning her third consecutive All-Conference nod. She led the MIAC from the free throw line, shooting 87.5 percent while leading the league in steals with 84 (3.0 per game).
Miller finished the season with a total of 465 points to rank sixth all-time among Gustavus career scoring leaders with 1,324 career points. She is also the all-time leader with 236 career steals, is tied for third with 139 career three-point field goals, tied for fifth with 306 career assists, fifth all-time with 265 free throws made, and ranks seventh with 460 career field goals.
The Gusties begin the 2017-18 season Nov. 15 at Buena Vista University.
