ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s soccer team is back home today for its final non-conference match of the season against UW-Eau Claire starting at 4 p.m. The Gusties enter the game with a 6-3-1 overall record, while the Blugolds are 4-4-1.
Scouting the Gusties: Gustavus is coming off a 3-0 loss at MIAC-leading Augsburg on Saturday. The Gusties matched the Auggies 13-13 in shots, but were unable to get one in the back of the net. After 10 games this season, Chase Miller leads the team with eight points on three goals and two assists. Hannah Sturtz also has three goals along with an assist for seven points. Sophie Leininger leads the squad with four assists. Ashley Becker has started all 10 games between the posts with a 0.99 goals against average and .831 save percentage (5th/MIAC).

Scouting the Blugolds: UW-Eau Claire is currently riding a four-game winning streak, most recently shutting out UW-Platteville 5-0 on Saturday. After nine games this season, Emily Sullivan leads the team with 10 points on five goals. Monica Zoellner is close behind with seven points on three goals and one assist. Anna Sveiven and Sammie Lefaive have split time in goal with Sveiven seeing about 200 more minutes.
