Women’s Soccer To Host Third Annual Run For Kicks 5k Oct. 8

The Gustavus women’s soccer team is set to host the third annual Run for Kicks 5k fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 8. The race begins at 10 a.m. on the paved and limestone trails of the Linneaus Arboretum on west side of the Gustavus campus.

Men’s Golf Takes 17th At NCAA Preview

The No. 20 Gustavus men’s golf team wrapped up play at the NCAA Division III Preview on Monday at Grandover Resort, taking 17th of 18 teams with a score of 306-311-311-928. No. 1 Texas-Tyler won the event with an 875, while No. 5 Huntingdon and No. 9 Illinois Wesleyan tied for second at 878.

Men’s Soccer Continues MIAC Play At St. Olaf

The Gustavus men’s soccer team continues Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Northfield, Minn. to take on St. Olaf College. The Gusties (5-4-0 overall, 1-2-0 MIAC) will look to bounce back from Saturday's 4-1 loss to St. Thomas against the Oles (2-6-0, 1-2-0 MIAC), taking the pitch at 4 p.m.

Men’s Tennis Competes At Drake Invite

The Gustavus men's tennis team took part in the Drake Invitational over the weekend, taking part in several singles and doubles brackets. 

Men’s Golf Tied For 16th After Day One At NCAA Preview

The No. 20 Gustavus men’s golf team got off to a rocky start Sunday at the NCAA Division III Preview, carding a 306 in the first round and 311 in the second for a two-round total of 617, which has the Gusties tied for 16th out of 18 teams.

Women’s Golf Earns Silver At College City Challenge

In its final tuneup before the MIAC Championships, the Gustavus women’s golf team took second place out of 12 teams at the College City Challenge, hosted by Carleton College at Bellwood Oaks Golf Club. The Gusties fired a 313-332-645, which was 25 strokes behind the winner Carleton. St. Catherine took third with a 651 in a field with nine MIAC schools and Wartburg.

Briana Hartmann Wins ITA Midwest Regional Singles Title, Earns All-America

Gustavus women’s tennis player Briana Hartmann (Jr., Owatonna, Minn.) won the ITA Midwest Regional singles championship Sunday with a convincing 6-1, 6-1 decision over Jillian Wallace of UW-Whitewater. Hartmann and Wallace both earned upset victories to reach the title match as each was seeded in the Nos. 9-16 slots. As one of eight region champions, Hartmann captures the 41st All-America award in the history of Gustavus women’s tennis and first since 2011 when three Gusties were named All-America (Sam Frank, Marianne Barau, Megan Gaard).

Briana Hartmann Advances To ITA Midwest Regional Semifinal

The final four singles and doubles pairings at the ITA Midwest Regional are set after Saturday’s play. In singles play, Jillian Wallace of UW-Whitewater will face Natalie Wijesinghe of UW-Eau Claire, while Alex Talyansky of UW-Whitewater will take on Braina Hartmann of Gustavus. In doubles, top-seed Resnick and French of Coe will face No. 4 seed McGuire and Wallace of UW-Whitewater, while Bellissimo and Spahn of UW-La Crosse will take on Henderson and Wijesinghe of UW-Eau Claire.

Volleyball Falls To Northwestern In Five-Set Thriller

The No. 10 ranked Gustavus volleyball team fell in five sets for the second night in a row, coming up short in a comeback effort against the No. 12-ranked University of Northwestern-St. Paul Saturday afternoon at Gus Young Court during homecoming.
