Men’s Soccer Continues MIAC Play At St. Olaf

The Gustavus men’s soccer team continues Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Northfield, Minn. to take on St. Olaf College. The Gusties (5-4-0 overall, 1-2-0 MIAC) will look to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-1 loss to St. Thomas against the Oles (2-6-0, 1-2-0 MIAC), taking the pitch at 4 p.m.

ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s soccer team continues Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Northfield, Minn. to take on St. Olaf College.

The Gusties (5-4-0 overall, 1-2-0 MIAC) will look to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-1 loss to St. Thomas against the Oles (2-6-0, 1-2-0 MIAC), taking the pitch at 4 p.m.

Gibbons has two goals and five assists on the season and is the top scorer among freshman in the MIAC. Arthur Parens (Jr., Wayzata, Minn.) leads Gustavus with five goals, tied for second in the conference in goal-scoring.

St. Olaf match up information:

  • Wednesday’s matchup marks the 53rd all-time meeting between the Gusties and the Oles, with Gustavus holding a 21-19-12 advantage. Last season, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw in double overtime in Northfield.
