ST. PETER, Minn. – After having last weekend off for the holiday, the Gustavus women’s tennis team returns to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play Saturday at Carleton. The meeting is a rematch of last year’s MIAC playoff championship, which the Gusties won 5-0. Both teams enter the match undefeated in league play – the Gusties are 5-0 (13-6 overall) and the Knights are 7-0 (11-4 overall). Saturday’s match begins at 11 a.m.
Gustavus then returns home Sunday for a pair of league matches against St. Catherine at 10:30 a.m. and Saint Benedict at 3 p.m. The Wildcats are 11-4 overall and 6-2 in the MIAC, while the Blazers are 9-11 overall and 2-5 in the league.
Last time out: After 10 non-conference matches over the past month, the Gusties returned to MIAC play last Tuesday, shutting out Concordia 9-0. The Gusties have not allowed a conference opponent to score a point yet this season.
